Help Us Feed the Homeless: A Call for Compassion and Support

During the last two years, the COVID-19 pandemic has been an incredibly challenging time for many of us. However, for the homeless people living on the streets of Karnataka, it has been a matter of survival. The sight of individuals struggling to find food, water, and clothing during these difficult times has left a deep and painful impact on me.

I am Dr. Veeraraahavan, a Ph.D. Scholar at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. During the pandemic, I had the opportunity to work closely with iNNER-EYE’s Humanitarian Volunteer Team in Bangalore. This experience opened my eyes to the harsh realities faced by underprivileged people—those who have no shelter, food, clothing, or access to healthcare. Many of them are blind or disabled, some gravely ill, and others on the brink of death. Witnessing their suffering first-hand moved me to tears and fundamentally changed my perspective on life.

This transformative experience ignited a deep commitment within me to help those in need, especially children, the elderly, and disabled homeless individuals. While I may not be able to change their entire lives, I believe that I can make a difference in their daily survival. Since that day, I have dedicated myself to the cause of **Feeding Homeless People**, a mission that involves preparing, packing, organizing, and delivering food to over 300 people every single day.

As a regular donor to this cause, I have been contributing most of my stipend to sustain this effort. However, the growing need and lack of funds have made it increasingly difficult for me to continue this work alone. But I believe that, together, we can make a significant impact.

Why Your Support Matters

The lives of these helpless homeless individuals depend on the compassion and generosity of people like you. By coming together, we can provide not just food, but also hope and dignity to those who need it the most. Your support can ensure that no one goes to bed hungry and that those who are suffering know that they are not forgotten.
