A selfless woman leading change as CEO of iNNER-EYE

In the heart of Bengaluru, a remarkable woman by the name of Ms. Geeta (the Daughter of Mrs. Devaki — the holy mother) is creating waves of positive change as the CEO of the iNNER-EYE, Bangalore. Her journey to this influential role has been nothing short of inspiring. Born and raised in this vibrant city of Vijaypur (old name – Bijapur), Geeta embarked on a path of service and leadership that has touched the lives of many.

Geeta’s educational journey began with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degree, a testament to her dedication to learning and personal growth. But her thirst for knowledge didn’t stop there. She also underwent professional training as an air hostess, which honed her interpersonal and communication skills. She even ventured into the corporate world, serving in the accounts department of a multinational corporation at the start of her career. Her diverse experiences equipped her with a unique set of skills that would prove invaluable in her later endeavors. However, it was Geeta’s entry into the world of volunteering that truly set her on a remarkable path. Her volunteer work began with Neatra Books, an organization dedicated to women’s empowerment. It was here that she realized the profound impact one can make by giving back to the community. Geeta’s journey of selflessness was only beginning.

For the past two years, Geeta has been an indispensable part of the iNNER-EYE. She transitioned from being a dedicated volunteer to taking on the role of CEO, where she now leads a team of over 400 individuals. Balancing the responsibilities of a household with the leadership of such a significant organization is no small feat. When asked how she manages it all, Geeta’s answer is both profound and heartwarming: “When we start thinking about others, our world stops revolving around ourselves. When we enter the field of volunteering, we automatically start imbibing good changes, and that shows in our behavior and lifestyle. We become more grateful and satisfied with life. The happiness that serving others gives can make our whole day worth it.”

Geeta’s role at iNNER-EYE Foundation has been filled with memorable moments and significant challenges. One of those unforgettable moments was when the parent of an eight-year-old cancer patient approached her with tears in their eyes to express gratitude for the monetary donation provided by Geeta and her team. She reflects on these experiences, saying, “You know their pain; it is difficult for people to perceive these situations from the outside.” Challenges have also been a part of hers journey. iNNER-EYE, like many nonprofit organizations, faces funding constraints. However, Geeta remains optimistic, firmly believing that setting an example is the way to overcome these challenges. Changing the way we think, engaging in selfless service, and showing unconditional love can make this world a better place.

Geeta’s story is a testament to the power of one person’s commitment to making a difference. Her journey from Bijapur to the helm of iNNER-EYE Foundation is an inspiration to us all, reminding us that we can balance our responsibilities, lead with compassion, and work towards creating a better world for everyone. She is not just a CEO but a superwoman, and her impact is felt far and wide. Geeta is proof that one person can truly make a difference, and her story is a testament to the power of kindness, dedication, and selfless service.

“Geeta is always grateful to her mother Mrs. Devaki; iNNER-EYE is always grateful to Geeta for her selfless stand, service, compassion and leadership” — Shanmugavel, Says.
